Coming up with this blog post has been such a hassle for me because I have all these ideas in my head, but I’m not a writer. I promise you’ll learn a few things from me, but I can’t promise if you’ll enjoy reading it ( Lol).
So for my first blog, I’ll be talking about “ORIGINALITY”.
There’s a saying that goes; “There is no new thing under the sun”…So you might start to ask, how can I be original then?
Personally, originality to me means keeping true to your heritage. As a Nigerian food developer, I strongly believe in promoting our locally sourced farm produce and traditional techniques in processing and of adding value to this process.
One tip I have for you as a food processor is to look inward, think back to all the snacks you enjoyed as a kid growing up, or that special beverage you enjoy when you’re on a trip to your village. We have a lot of local foods we can create food products which are high in nutrition and functional.
Let’s promote our Nigerian food on the shelves of our supermarkets and the world at large. Originality is all about who you are and where you come from.
